Today’s Character analysis will be Kotaro Murakami (aka Kotaro Inugami). I got a few sweet comments on the last Character analysis I did, and am going to take some of their advice.
Personality:
Kotaro is a feisty, rude, somewhat friendly, extremely competetive pre-teen. He likes to make jokes and be funny all the time. He is also a real gentleman, who clearly states several times throughout the series that he would never hit a woman.
Appearance:
He has black hair that seems to stick out in all directions. His dog ears stick out of his mess of hair… did I mention he could turn into a dog? Oh yea, he can, and it’s one freaky-ass dog if you ask me. Anyways, his eyes are a darker brown color, and he is usually wearing his black suit.
Relationships:
Since Negi defeated him in the Kyoto arc, Kotaro has made him his rival. He takes each opportunity he gets to fight Negi. While he may be competetive with him though, Negi is truly Kotaro’s best friend. He also lives in the same dorm with Chizuru, who mothers him to an extreme.
Random Trivia:
For some odd reason Kotaro never showed up in either of the Animes, even though he’s a very important part of the manga. Kotaro is street smart, apparently. In my opinion, a great plot twist would be if Kotaro and Negi ended up getting together in the end…
