Negima!? DVD Season 2 Part 1 - Review er… review?
Well, Anime News Network came out with a new review for the Negima!? Series 2 Part 1 boxed set today. They give the series (part one) an overall score of B-. Hey! If I got a B- on every class I take, I’d be pretty happy (I’m not a very good student though :-(). But here’s what it said:
Story (C-) - He said, and I sort of agree with him here, “The series drifts from one magical confrontation to the next through a series of clumsy character-building episodes, displaying neither the drive nor the sweet sentimentality of the original.” Now I must admit, that is exactly what it does. He refers to the “original”, and by that I’ll assume that he means the first anime.
Animation(B) - Well, if it were me, I’d have probably given it an A of some sort, but I guess that an A just wouldn’t fit in with the rest of the review. 
I thought it seemed perfectly clean and whatnot.
Art(B+) - Apparently this is where this anime really soars in his opinion, and I would probably call it the strong point from me as well. I love the few scenes where it’s all penciled looking stuff. The only think I’m not a HUGE fan of is their, erm, artistic redesign of Nodoka’s hair.
Music(B-) - Well, I don’t really have ALOT to say, because I usually skip the opening theme with 1000% Sparkling, but I do love the credits song. For some really strange reason it reminds me of Juno…
Overall, he seemed to have enjoyed the series for the most part. It was an interesting review to read and I would definitely suggest checking it out .
