Period Analysis: Period 3 - Rub a Dub in the Bath
Hmmm, I wonder what’s gonna happen in this chapter… NOT! Anyways, it starts out with Haruna, Yue, and Nodoka all barging in on Negi and his roommates at 8:00 (apparently an ungodly hour). Ayaka finds her way to the “Study Group” and bugs Asuna to the point where she kicks all four of them out the door. Asuna then goes into an explanation of the housing arrangements, and shows us a pretty cool chart! I’m just wondering why they never switched rooms after graduating to third year.
We then find out that Negi hates baths, which for some reason pisses off Asuna to the max! She resolves to bathing him herself and aggressively throws him into the bath. During the violent bathing session, Negi tells Asuna that he’s actually only 10 years old on some wierd Kazoe system that is apparently outdated, which makes him in reality, only 9. This one REALLY sets Asuna off.
Next, Asuna tells Negi that her parents died, and that’s why she has to work for a paper route, to pay off her debt to the school. This saddens Negi deeply (maybe because he can understand how she feels?), which only makes asuna angrier. The whole situation of course, logically has to end with Asuna on top of Negi in an extremely awkward position…
Oh NO! Somebody’s coming! Negi and asuna run and hide underwater so that they can easily eavesdrop on the chattering girls. Everybody gets into a discussion about who should REALLY have Negi Sensei in their room. Obviously the only way to settle this is to have a “who has the bigger boobs” competition. Well, naturally everybody wants to get Negi sensei so that he can do “anything they want for them” (direct quote), so every single girl in class 2-A shows up for the boob competition.
Okay, one thing I have to say though, is that I’m really glad they got rid of the ugly braids Makie used to have. They made her look like a horse… Well, back to the manga. In an unsuccessful attempt at escape, Asuna trips and ends up in that same awkward position, except in front of the entire class this time.
Negi decides that it would be a great idea to pump up Asuna’s boobs like baloons so that he can stay where he is. Whoops Negi, they probably didn’t have to be THAT big. They get so huge that they explode… typical Negi…
The chapter ends in the dorm room right after the incident. Asuna’s breasts are back to normal, but she still isn’t in her happiest state ever. She tells Negi to get out, but seems like she’ll get over it soon.
