Negima!? Spring and Summer OVAs
Well, a few weeks ago I bought Negima!? Spring and Summer OVAs from Amazon , and I thought they were great. I think it’s kind of like a glimpse into the future of Negima!? I SO can’t wait for that boxed set to come out. But anyways, the first episode took place on a beach belonging to Ayaka. Probably my favorite thing about this episode was finding out FO SHO that Setsuna is a lesbian. I mean, yea, of course we already knew that, but still, I was happy to hear her awkward stammering while trying to explain her odd behavior to Konoka. I was also happy witht the fact that this episode went along with the manga in Volume 7. The part where Negi and Asuna were in the water made me feel all fuzzy and nice, and all that great stuff, blah blah blah…
Episode 2 was good too. While it’s great to see Anime that is true to the manga, it’s also nice to see something new every once in a while. I was happy with this episode. I liked the whole red sting plot. I noticed that they managed to fit a nice long bath scene in, so I’m guessing that the new Anime will be a lot more like the Manga. There’s really not as much I can say for this episode. There’s some Negi/Konoka development, but I don’t really care about that. I’m more of a Negi/Asuna person. My favorite scene so far in the manga was the one where they kissed, so…
Also on this disc was a commentary from the voice actors of Negi and Haruna. I thought that the Negi actory had a really wierd laugh… it kind of reminded me of a snobby rich lady… maybe cruela devil… yea. Anyways, I laughed really hard at the part where the Haruna actress says “That is necessary!”. If you’ve seen it, you know what I’m talkin about. If you haven’t seen it, shame on you! It’s really great and you should be able to pick it up at FYE, or if yours is as shitty as mine, you can grab it here .
